Lenten Season
Abstinence:
Catholics over 14 years of age and in good health are bound
 - no meat to be eaten on all Fridays during Lent and on Ash Wednesday.
Fasting:
Catholics over 18 years of age to the start of their 60th year, in good
health, no eating between meals. There are only 2 days that fasting applies
Ash Wednesday & Good Friday.

Fasting and Abstinence can be used as a means to have better control of one self so
that we can more fully accept Gods presence and power in one's life. Some followers
of the Lord select on their own a day in the week throughout the year to practice
Fast and Abstinence
