- no meat to be eaten on all Fridays during Lent and on Ash
Wednesday.
Fasting:
Catholics over 18
years of age to the start of their 60th year, in good
health, no eating between meals. There are only 2 days that fasting
applies Ash Wednesday & Good Friday.
Fasting and Abstinence can be used as a means to have
better control of one self so
that we can more fully accept Gods presence and power in one's life. Some
followers
of the Lord select on their own a day in the week throughout the year to
practice
