About
Saint Gregory’s Parish is a Roman Catholic community of believers located at 2223 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester Lower Mills, who respond to Jesus’ call “Come, Follow Me” by living lives of faith, love, and service for others.
Central to the faith life of Saint Gregory’s is our weekly Eucharist wherein we gather to be nourished, challenged, and strengthened by the Word of God and the Body and Blood of Christ.
Together, we seek to grow in our love of God and in our love for each other by embodying the Gospel of Jesus in our daily lives.
Fr. Vincent Daily assumed the role as your shepherd in June of 2008. He is well remembered from the first five years after ordination that he served so generously here at St. Gregory’s. Following his assignments as High School Chaplain at Cardinal Spellman, Brockton, studies in Rome, he also served as a faculty member at St. John’s Seminary. During his years at the seminary he helped here at the parish on Sundays.
Fr. Laurence J. Borges was appointed Parochial Vicar in February, 2009. Fr. Borges has served in many parishes in the Archdiocese of Boston over the years. He was also the Pastor of St. Albert the Great in Weymouth for many years. Fr. Borges is fluent in Spanish. Fr. Borges spent time in Peru in the Missions and also worked in many Spanish-speaking communities throughout the Archdiocese. Fr. Borges was recently granted “senior priest/retirement” status from the Cardinal. Fr. Borges has chosen to remain at St. Gregory’s in residence. We are very grateful for Fr. Borges’ generous priestly ministry.
Both Fr. Daily and Fr. Borges are eager to be available and offer assistance at any time.
May both Fr. Daily and Fr. Borges be assured that our prayers for God’s Holy Grace be their guiding light.
